Division Overview: The Housing Division provides safe, affordable housing paired with wraparound supportive services to individuals and families who have experienced chronic homelessness, mental illness, substance use disorders, or other significant barriers to stability. Guided by Housing First principles, the division works to promote long-term housing stability, improve health and well-being, and foster independence by integrating case management, clinical support, and community engagement. Through partnerships with public agencies, funders, and community organizations, the division advances the nonprofit’s mission to reduce homelessness and create equitable pathways to housing security and self-sufficiency.
We are currently looking for a full-time Housing Program Coordinator
Starting at $50,000 - $55,000 – contingent upon experience, education, etc.
Position Summary: The Housing Programs Coordinator provides high-level administrative, operational, and project support to the Housing Division. The position serves as the central point of coordination for meetings, reporting, contracts, budgets, communications, and special projects. This role supports all Housing Division programs and ensures efficient operations, compliance, and communication across the division. The Housing Program Coordinator also serves as the primary liaison between the Housing Division and the Business Office, coordinating financial and administrative processes including invoice submission, rental assistance
payments, budget tracking, purchase requests, credit card reconciliations, and financial reporting to ensure timely and accurate program operations. Additionally, the Housing Program Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for the IHDA Rental Assistance Program, managing referrals, participant intake, eligibility documentation, landlord communications, payment processing, and program tracking to ensure compliance with funding requirements and successful housing outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for rental assistance programs, including receiving and tracking
referrals, coordinating eligibility documentation, facilitating participant intake and enrollment, processing
rental assistance requests, maintaining required program records, managing lease documentation,
communicating with referral partners and landlords, tracking payments, reconciling rental assistance
records, and ensuring compliance with program requirements, reporting deadlines, and funding regulations.
Provide direct administrative and operational support to the Director of Housing and Housing Division
leadership.
